When the winter comes, it is time to put machines to work: this means snow blowers or sweepers to get rid of the snow for us, instead of painstakingly shoveling it away by ourselves.

Modern snow blowers can easily tackle a sidewalk or park path completely buried in snow. The wide auger picks up the snow and throws it through the side nozzle at least several metres away.
. The engine of the snow blower powers its snow auger and self-propelled wheels, and driving is managed using a transmission gearbox with several forward speeds and one reverse speed. The side skids with height adjustment keep the snow auger spinning safe and clear from the ground. The swivel discharge nozzle helps to blow the snow out always in the same direction, even after turning around.

An alternative to snow blowers can be sweepers, where the snow auger is replaced by a petrol engine-powered brush with height adjustment. The hard bristles of the brush are not only great for clearing fresh snow, but also for removing sand, debris and dirt from sidewalks (which can be discharged into a bin on the machine). An optional plough can help to convert the tool into an efficient ploughing machine.
